Since embarking on a digital transformation project with IFS in 2018, TOMRA has improved first-time fix rates to 96–97%, with a 27% increase in operational efficiency from its initial investment in IFS. Upgrading to IFS Cloud in 2023, the company runs on an Evergreen platform, removing costly customizations using configuration. This transition was supported by TOMRA’s long-standing managed services partner, Infosys, whose agile and DevOps expertise ensured a smooth migration to the cloud. Embedded industrial AI is now in use across the business and includes IFS’ powerful What-If Scenario Explorer (WISE) capabilities alongside Planning & Scheduling Optimization (PSO).
